DC Start Here: Poison Ivy #1

Delve into the lush, dark world of Gotham’s premier botanist with DC Start Here: Poison Ivy #1. Written by the Hugo Award-winning G. Willow Wilson (Ms. Marvel) with gorgeous, organic illustrations by Marcio Takara (Nightwing), this budget-priced reprint issue offers an unbeatable entry point into one of the most celebrated modern solo series in DC Comics history.

Pamela Isley has worn many titles throughout her complicated history: a living god, a notorious super-villain, an eco-activist, a brilliant scientist, and someone who has crossed the threshold of death itself. Now, reborn into a new body she never asked for, Ivy leaves the streets of Gotham City behind with a stark, terrifying sense of purpose.

Setting out on a personal roadmap across America, she intends to complete her greatest botanical masterpiece—a final gift that will heal the fractured, damaged planet by systematically wiping out the root cause of its destruction: humanity. Equal parts eco-horror road trip, psychological thriller, and a deeply personal journey of self-reflection, this opening chapter redefines a classic Batman rogue for the modern era.

Released as a flagship title in DC's "Start Here" initiative, this comic is specifically curated for casual fans, new collectors, or readers transitioning from the Batman core titles. It compresses decades of backstory into a clean slate, inviting anyone to immediately experience Ivy's radical vision, her complex relationship with Harley Quinn, and her lethal bond with the natural world
